The 3B7C St Brandon DXpedition.
Just been reading about the above in Radcom makes good reading if you have not read it do it now. Did many on here manage to work it? I never worked it.
Worked them twice. Once on 20m SSB with a G5RV up at about 25/30ft and once on 17m SSB with a homemade 20m dipole and a tuner, both times with 100w. I heard them quite a few times on 40m in the evenings but never managed to work them as the pile up was always too big with KiloWatt stations from Italy and the likes.
Very good operators.
Only tried one afternoon I was off work, got them on 15, 17 & 20 all ssb.
mi0fds
managed it on 15,20,40 CW
and 12,15,17,20 SSB
and also a hoaxer on 30
not much luck in more ways than 1 ... worked them on 17mtr & 40 mtr. ssb. however only 1 qso appeared in the online log. ... ah well half a loaf is better ...........
I had qso on 20 17 and 15 mtr .I had five contacts but only 3 made it to the logs
To have worked them once would have made me happy, any time I was off work they where weak one day I heard them 5/9 on my dinner break but not enough time to work them as the world and his wife was shouting on them:( Maybe next time:D
