In the loft

hi can anybody tell me if a small 2 & 70 antenna would be just as good fixed in a loft, or would a tiled roof be a problem, cant put any antennas outside planning permission problems, many thanks, jock

thanks everybody, its a vertical antenna a watson 2 & 70cm, about 4ft tall thats all,

thanks tony, another idea if it would be better is a crossed yagi with rotator, would that be better than a vertical, it is a fairly big attic/loft,

Good idea. Since you, probably, would not want to use circular polarisation you could either feed each polarity separately with its own feeder or use a good quality co-ax relay and just one feeder run.
Since you are working in a lossy situation the quality of the co-ax will be particularly important.
Make sure you get a good quality antenna. There are a few suspect ones out there.
Or, if you have the time, make one.
