Yup the FT2000 and FT950 are operators radios, they need to be used not just turn on and spin the VFO.

Thats why I love my 950, feels like I am actually doing something, and not just tuning to a station to call them.

ft2000

Had my 2000 for only 1 week first impressions were oh no what have I done!!
But after reading the manual setting the agc up to my preference setting the filtering up and audio!! The radio really impresses me I think the early 2000 were releast with lots of problems yaesu used the public as beatter testers!! Having the latest updates in mine I find I 2000 a hell of a radio with a very good receiver I had the pr03 before this and found that fantastic!
Between the two I would say they are on a par the one thing I would say is the 2000 is not a radio that does well out of the box a lot of time setting up and it is more than a mach for the pro3 in rx and TX Dave mm0xdg who I got the 2000 from summed it up when we spoke last the 2000 is like the BMW M5 and the PRO3 is like the jaguar two completely different radios!
