well gary it doesnt look the best of radios but its a big performer, not really an entry level radio , ya got read the book to drive it propperly but nevertheless a d*** good radio , shame it looks like an amstrad 901 ,,,,,,,,,,,,,

The display is great very clear worked well on voice and the recieve on mine was better than my 850 sat, the tuner did need a menue mod though to tune higher swr ,, think i set mine to 150 on hf instead of 85 , DONT QUOTE ME ON THIS the mike was a nasty adition i replaced mine with the one of my 897 , voice record was a nice touch and also the announciation was a nice touch , great value radio . small vfo k**b mike
