Stacking narrows the vertical beamwidth , baying the horizontal, recommend stacking.
3m above highest point?
is this a Wales rule?
I only ask because here in Yorkshire, nothing is to go above the ridge tiles without planning. The 3m rule is for free standing items, and from the ground.
If I am wrong, then i will stand corrected.
Geoff,
For Tropo Stacking is recommended
Meteor Scatter Stack,
Reducing TVI Stack.
Baying two yagis is ideal when tilt is required (elevation)
ie Satellite or EME work.
Which ever way you go the beamwidth will reduce by approx 50%
(assuming you optimise the stacking distance)
Two bayed yagis working on Tropo would give a very narrow
Horizontal beamwidth of around 15 deg, not ideal
Making the system really rather sharp.
Stack two yagis and the horizontal beamwidth will stay the same
(about 30 deg) but the vertical beamwidth will be reduced by 50%
Ideal for forward scatter modes such as troposcatter.
The very mode I guess you are interested in.
9ele Wimo
Agree with all thats been said here. I have 2 times 9 ele wimo up here on my p40. They seem to work well. My Aerials are stacked. I cant bay as they would be over next door who hate my tower But I have planning for it HI! Reg G8VHI
power rating
yes Tony your right. Dipoles are 200w there is a high power dipole but thats extra. Reg
high power are 1200 watts rating!
phone number
Tony, I have lost your number, so can you please text it to 07724-759615, also I will take your advice and go for the 14 eli Wimo instead of stacking the 2 x 9 elis

Geoff,
Have a careful look at the 14
Not sure how strong it is, I saw the 14 xpol version at a show a couple of years ago, it looked like an explosion in an umbrella factory.
I would not have trusted it at my site @ 680ft ASL
