Thanks for both replies Tony (here and in the Antennas part of the forum)!

Ordered the 6m4DX today, Ron was very helpful and is making it to order as he did not have any in stock. Will almost certainly be here on Wednesday :D Cant grumble at that turnaround time;)

Pretty miserable day but 5 + 5ele is up.

Swept it with the analyzer and it looks good on both bands.

Contest in 4 mins so will be swapping over when contacts thin out and I want to beam North.

Cheers

Tony

Last night the few places I monitor started to show signs of an AU might reach UK

its been harder to get the opening due to some of the beacons not being active

I probably spend too much time on 6m :)

Ok, The antenna arrived as promised at 0910 this morning, even after a long 24hr shift at work till 0600 this morning I have mangaged to get the 6m4DX up today!!

SWR excellent immediately and no real problems erecting it. I did ring Ron just to confirm a couple of things and he was spot on!!

Cant hear much though! Is the band flat at the moment:(

If anyone would like to give me a direction to point her in and a frequency, I would be happy to try a QSO!! ;)

No 50.150MHz is the usual frequency.
%0.100 is for intercontinental.
Not much of that around at the moment. :)

Ill give another couple of calls!!

I did copy a signal but this one of my worst directions for noise.
I have to go on the second antenna and, even then it is S2.

You were 52 for a few secs.

400w and 5+5ele dual band here at the moment.

Cheers

No other station.
Just calling CQ.
Not much from IO94/95 so you will be popular. :)
Glad you are pleased with the antenna.
I must find a better location for my second antenna and/or get going on the noise canceling.

How are 2M and 70cm going?

Cheers
