yaesu ft 8100

Hi all
I have had my little ft 8100 for a number of years working flawlessly in my car but all of a sudden when I press the PTT the radio goes completely deaf squelch nothing works its like something had turned up the squelch fully no audio nothing, If I turn the radio off and leave it for a few minutes it comes back to life!! at least until I key up again had any one got any ideas? Now i know the radio was prone to problems (earlier ones anyway) but I would love to get it working again

I had a similar problem and traced it to the earth through plating on the PCB. The earthing between planes on the PCB uses plated through holes that fail. You have to adda few links at selected places on the earth track.

We accept all major credit and debit cards
When you decide to enter into and join ‘junksale’ as a member or as commercial advertiser or on a one advert basis.  You will be required to enter your credit/debit card details.
You must be 100% sure that your advert is correct as once our card processing team deal with your request and payment has been accepted we will not refund any monies in the event of a mistake. If a mistake has occurred then you must email immediately to contact@junksale.co.uk with a link to your advert so our administration team can either withdraw the advert or reset your advert. Failure of ‘no response’ or ’no sale’ to your advert or the sale of your goods will also not be eligible for a refund. We will reject all card charge back’s .
We will also not refund an advert if we feel that your advert has inappropriate language/images which lead’s to our administration team deleting your advert from ‘junksale’.
Only in extreme circumstances will we refund your advert.  A refund request by email or letter with detailed information outlining your request with information to substantiate your claim. This may take up to fourteen days for a response.

If for any reason the junksale web site becomes unavaiable due to technical errors we will add time onto the web site and your advert and membership. Timing will be increased to compensate for the web site down time. We will not offer a refund and will reject all card charge backs.
