FT2000 Transverter mode

Ive got one of my FT2000s set up to drive the FTV107R transverter for 2ntrs and 70cms. Ive wiredeverything up properly and the transverter goes into transmit state etc when I tx on the Ft2000. However I can seem to get the Ft2000 into transverter mode?

Ive done all the latest software updates and followed the menu settings from the manual. Obviously there are now more menu numbers than when the manual was printed, so Im going to the correct menu. But I still cant get the display to show 44/30 etc and although the transverter switches over and shows TX, no rf is actually going out as its still going through the main antenns socket on the FT2000 rather than the low output socket for driving the transverter on the back of the FT2000.

Anyone give me a headsup on what Im doing wrong or what Im missing please?

TIA

transverter

Just remembered something else... the handbook pages are wrong and I had to go onto the yahoo site to find out how to do it. I think I also spoke to the techy at mls who helped as well. Good luck!

thanks Dave

for the info, according to the transverter manual, the (stated)output from the FT2000 should be ample, but until I actually get the thing into transverter mode I cant test it.

Im in the process of finding out about the yahoo group, but the yahoo servers are down atm so Ill try again shortly.

BTW how many different IDs do you have on here? ;)
